[ She's visited Arendelle several times. At first, it had been to check up on the world. It had been part of her duty, to make sure the worlds were okay, to make sure no Heartless or Nobodies are wreaking havoc there. But, recently, Aqua's come here more for Elsa than the kingdom. Of course, she's still concerned about the world, but Elsa...

Elsa's... special.

Aqua gives her a bow, a smile playing at the corners of her lips. ]

Good afternoon, Your Highness.

[It was odd, having someone visiting Arendelle just for her. Sure, there were foreign dignitaries and nobles and all sorts of people who wanted to seek an audience with the queen, but Aqua was one of the few people who visited to talk to Elsa.

It... made her feel good, honestly. Not many people outside of Anna saw past her title. So when Aqua approaches, Elsa - almost too quickly - shoos her guards and any lingering others out of the room. There's no hesitation, either; Aqua's done so much for Arendelle, if anyone on Elsa's staff doubted her intentions before, said doubts are long gone.]

Hello, Aqua. It's been some time since we last saw each other... is everything alright?

[ Aqua straightens up and gives her a smile. It's nice, being alone with a-- a friend. Because Elsa's nothing more than a friend, Aqua has to remind herself. She's a Master; she has her duties. And getting close to Elsa, closer than just friends, is... well. It's not the smartest idea.

Nevermind that it's already happened. Elsa's smile makes her heart race just a little faster. ]

Everything's just fine. I hope you don't mind a personal visit?

Of course not. I'm sure I've said it before that you're free to visit whenever you wish.

[Elsa almost looks embarrassed as she says this. It's... still kind of odd, talking with other people on such a personal level. And as queen, it might not be a good idea to be familiar with a foreigner on a personal level like this...

But. It's been good for her. Aqua helped both her kingdom and herself, and when she's around her, it feels like the mantle of queen lifts off her shoulders. She likes it, and she doesn't want to have to push it away.]

Is there a reason for such a visit today? Not that you need one, but...

[She knows Aqua's a very busy woman.]

There really isn't a reason. Well--aside from my wanting to visit a friend.

[ Her cheeks warm over slightly as she says it. Really, there's another reason: Aqua... misses her. Misses talking to her. Despite her powers, there's a warmth about Elsa that draws Aqua to her. ]

It's quiet in the other worlds, if that's what you're concerned about.

[ The enemy hasn't made a move for a while--but Aqua knows that doesn't really mean anything. Then again, her friends had insisted she take a break, since Aqua has a tendency to overwork herself. ]

That's good. Very good.

[She won't pretend to know everything about the things Aqua is fighting against, but she remembers those shadowy monsters, the beings that corrupted the very snow around her, the darkness that tried whispering in her ear and plaguing on her still-lingering doubts and fears....

It scares her a little, knowing her friend is fighting those things alone. She knows that this is what Aqua was trained to do, but even so...]

I hope it stays as such. I don't know about everything you've faced in your travels, but... I can see it's taking a toll on you.

So do I.

[ There's a softness to her voice. Aqua's glad the darkness hasn't touched this place the way it did before; there are Heartless in the mountains, still, but they're few and far between. And certainly, nothing like what had happened before has happened again. It had taken a toll on Elsa, too, and things are better now, but it still lingers at the back of Aqua's mind.

She starts to reach out, to take Elsa's hand in her own, but at the last moment she stops herself. ]

And I hope Arendelle stays as peaceful as it has lately. You deserve it, [ she says, allowing a smile. ]

[It says a lot about how much their friendship(?) has bloomed that Elsa doesn't try and shy away from Aqua's attempt to reach out to her. So she seems almost... disappointed, when Aqua pulls away? Or maybe that's just concern...]

... Are you sure everything is alright, Aqua?

[ Oh, goodness. Aqua's cheeks flush, and she gives a soft, embarrassed laugh. She's pretty obvious sometimes, isn't she? ]

Yes. Everything is alright, Elsa. [ ... ] It's just that I've missed you, [ she admits, glancing away from her. ]

... Oh.

[Elsa's own blush is much more evident, poor girl, thanks to how damn pale she is. It's almost funny how her ears seem to glow with how red they are, and it takes her a moment to compose herself.

The blush is still there, though.]

I... I missed you too, Aqua. [God why is it so hard to avoid just stumbling over her words like this???] It's nice. Having someone other than Anna that I can talk to like this.

[ Aqua's not sure if she expected that or not; growing up with few people meant she wasn't terribly competent in social situations. Or... situations like this. She's blushing even more now, both from the fact that Elsa had missed her and Elsa is blushing deeply, too. ]

Elsa... [ Her voice has taken on a shyness, and Aqua's still blushing, goodness. ] Well. Then I'll have to visit more often.

[Elsa won't lie, that thought... it makes her chest feel warm. And that sort of scares her, as much as it makes her feel... nice. Happy.]

Oh, I wouldn't want to distract you! Y-You're welcome here, always, but you don't have to ignore your important mission just for my sake...

[ This time, when Aqua reaches for her hand, she doesn't stop herself at the last minute. She takes Elsa's hand into her own, gives it a gentle squeeze. ]

It won't be a distraction. I can promise you that.

[Though she doesn't pull away, and she knows it's coming, Elsa still jumps a little at the contact. Her hands are sensitive, always have been. Whether it's a side-effect from her magic, or just from the fact that she's worn gloves for most of her life, she's not really sure...]

... If you say so.

[ Her grip isn't tight; Aqua doesn't want to frighten her, and she holds Elsa's hand loosely in case she wants to pull away. ]

Elsa? [ Her voice is soft. ] Would you mind if I-- kissed you?

[There's a moment of hesitation, because... wow, that's. Not a question she gets asked every day. But she looks down at their hands, then back to Aqua's face, and then...]

I... n-no. I mean, no I don't mind! Not no, you can't...

[Ohhhh geez this is. awkward.]

[ Elsa's too cute, Aqua thinks, and while she wants to intertwine their fingers, she holds off. Well. That's an answer she hadn't expected, but...

She's definitely not complaining. Aqua takes a deep breath, then leans forward and presses her lips to Elsa's. It's a cautious kiss, but it's soft and sweet. ]

[If Aqua's being cautious, Elsa is being ten times that. This is her first kiss, after all, and she doesn't really know what to do. Even the stories she's read haven't really... covered this sort of thing...

So it's a little awkward, with their lips just pressed together like this, to the point where when they break apart, Elsa looks rather upset.]

I-I'm sorry, that was terrible! [WAIT] N-Not the kiss, that was nice...! But... I was terrible at that....

[ She shakes her head, giving Elsa's hands another squeeze. Terrible? Far from it. Aqua even leans in for another kiss. ]

It wasn't terrible at all. [ She smiles. ] It was lovely, actually.

It... it was...

[After the second kiss, the fluttering in her chest is making her feel light. So light it almost feels like she could float. And boy is she glad that this sort of thing calms her magic or else the room would be filled with flurries by now.]

But first kisses are supposed to be much better than that, aren't they?

[ Aqua presses her forehead to Elsa's and hums once, softly, before intertwining their fingers. ]

It was perfect.

I'm glad you think so.

[This is good. This is nice. Flustered outburst aside, this is... the calmest Elsa's felt in a while. It's the calmest she's ever felt being so close to someone who isn't her sister.

She should be thinking about how improper this is. About how scandalous it is. How, at the very least, there should have been some form of courtship before things got even this far. But... honestly? She doesn't care. Maybe later she'll fret and worry, but for now, she just wants to stay like this.]

This... this means a lot to you, yes? Because it certainly does for me...

[ Aqua's seen a lot of things in her travels. She's seen a boy fly. She's seen the effect power can have on someone. Heck, she's seen actual aliens, and she's flown in outer space. She's watched the sun set on a quiet, peaceful island.

None of that compares to Elsa's smile. Aqua nods, giving her hand a light squeeze. ]

It does. More than I could ever say.

[It's hard to get closer than they are now, but Elsa tries, angling her head just a little so she can nuzzle her nose against Aqua's. Her movements are all a little awkward, since they're coming from someone who's avoided physical contact for over thirteen years, but it's clear that there's affection there.]

I understand. I... [She hesitates then, pulling away but not letting go of Aqua's hands.] For a long time, I would refuse to let myself be happy. Even after my coronation, and after you helped Arendelle, it was... hard. Accepting my happiness as a good thing.

But now, I... I truly am happy. And I can admit it, and feel good about it, thanks to you.

[ Clumsy or not, Aqua's heart does a little flip. Elsa's opening up to her--how many people can say that? Anna, definitely, but who else? It's a special thing, Elsa's trust, and Aqua plans to keep it close to her heart. ]

Elsa... I didn't realize I'd had such an effect on you.
